7 per cent hike in DA for MP employees

Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Raghavji yesterday announced seven per cent increase in dearness allowance of the government employees and pensioners from April 2012. With this, the dearness allowance of state employees have been brought at par with their Central counterparts, he said while presenting the state’s annual budget for 2012-13 in the Vidhan Sabha. Hike in DA would entail additional burden of Rs 1057 crore to the state exchequer, he said, adding Panchayat Secretaries and Adhyapaks would also be benefitted by this. Employees of boards and corporations on deputation to the government getting only Fourth and Fifth Pay Panel scales would now be paid 560 per cent of basic pay and 77 per cent dearness allowance.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject :- Dearness Allowance.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s O.M. No.F(PR) 47/2009/Pt/59 dated 2nd May. 2011 and to say that the Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to decide that the Dearness Allowance payable to the State Government employees/pensioners/family pension holders shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 43% to 49% with effect from 1.7.2011.

2. These orders shall also apply to the members of the work-charged establishment and casual workers other than Bungalow Peons, holding posts in the scales of pay as admissible to the employees of corresponding categories under the regular establishment/services/posts.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject- Rates of Dearness Allowance applicable w.e.f. 01.07.2011 to the employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised scale as per 5th CPC.

           The undersigned is directed to refer to this Departments O.M. of even No. dated 31st March, 2011 revising the Dearness Allowance w.e.f.
1.1.2011 in respect of employees of Central Government and Autonomous Bodies who continue to draw their pay and allowances in the pre-revised scales of pay as per 5th Central Pay Commission.

2.         The rates of Dearness Allowance admissible to the above categories of employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous bodies shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 115%  to 127%  w.e.f. 01.072011. All other conditions as laid down in the O.M.of even number dated 3rd October, 2008 will continue to apply.
